2016 AKC NAC Preferred 12″ Preview: Shelties and Border Collies

The 12” Preferred jump height is predominantly made up of shelties with some border collies and other breeds mixed in. Border collie Tori and Beth Rogers won the PNAC title in both 2014 and 2015, and are the only former national champions competing this year. Sheltie Rhyme and Catherine Nelson and rat terrier Willis and Mary Obidinski also placed in last year’s Finals and will be gunning for the crown once again.

Just like in the 8” Preferred class, Brittany Schaezler finished 2015 with a sheltie, this one Ticket, at the top of the Power60 for the 12” Preferred class. Also among the fastest in this jump height are: border collie Visa and Tim Vojtech, border collie Siryn and Donna Wasielewski, sheltie G-Man and Timothy Flick, and sheltie Ranger and John Spencer. Poodle Pan and Rebecca Barkhorn, all-American Cameo and Penny Leigh, and poodle Hobie and Kim Glass will be other teams to keep an eye on.
